Alex Rodriguez Hits 25th Grand Slam After 3 Week Dry Spell & Beats Own Record

New York Yankees fans are back in love with Alex Rodriguez, 40. After spending three weeks in a major hitting slump, the Yankees slugger finally connected — and he knocked it out of the park! A-Rod broke his dry spell with a home run that not only gave him a record-beating Grand Slam, but also helped the Yanks win the game!

When A-Rod stepped up to the plate during the Yankees’ Aug. 18 home game against theMinnesota Twins, he was in the middle of a really bad drought. In the prior three weeks, he had only connected with the ball once for a meager single, reports the New York Times. With bases loaded, A-Rod redeemed himself with a Grand Slam, putting the Yanks up 5-4. That started a rally that saw the Yankees put down the Twins, 8-4.
