PARIS MASSACRE TERRORIST BOOED BY MUSLIM INMATES BECAUSE HE DIDN’T DETONATE HIS SUICIDE VEST

Salah Abdeslam spent his first night in Fleury-Mérogis prison on Wednesday after being extradited from Belgium.

He was arrested over last November’s attacks in the French capital which claimed 130 lives.

Upon arriving behind bars, the 26-year-old was whistled and jeered by extremist lags enraged by his alleged failure to detonate his suicide vest during the Paris onslaught.
Investigators say Abdeslam told them he had arranged logistics for the November 13 bombing and shooting attacks and had planned to blow himself up at a sports stadium there but backed out at the last minute.

Senator Blasts TSA Administrator for Not Delivering Report Testing Airport Security Vulnerability

Sen. Bill Nelson (D-Fla.), ranking member of the Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee, admonished Transportation Security Administration Administrator Peter Neffenger for not delivering to the committee the results of a report testing the vulnerability of the nation’s airports.

The committee hearing centered on efforts to prevent attacks on transportation infrastructure in the wake of the Brussels terrorist attack on March 22. Neffenger was in Brussels when terrorist attacks on the airport and subway system killed at least 26 people last month. He was actually at the airport the day of the bombings, arriving as the bombs exploded.

As you noted Mr. Chairman, I was at the Brussels airport the day of the bombings. I was there for meetings with a number of my European counterparts. We arrived right as the bombs detonated, and I will tell you being there on that day, seeing the devastation, seeing the chaos of the airport environment and the evil behind it was a stark reminder of the important work that we do at TSA everyday to protect travelers,” he testified during his opening statement.

In 2014, a long-running gun-smuggling operation was uncovered at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Neffenger became TSA administrator after the operation was uncovered.

Istanbul Bombing Kills at Least 4 and Wounds Dozens

A suicide bomber struck at the heart of Istanbul’s most popular avenue on Saturday, killing at least four people, including two Americans, and wounding 36, officials said.

A spokesman for the State Department, John Kirby, confirmed on Saturday afternoon that two American citizens, Yonathan Suher and Avraham Goldman, had been killed. No other details were available.

Earlier, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel announced that two Israelis had died in the blast, but he did not give their names. In addition, 11 Israelis were wounded, according to Israeli officials. Mr. Netanyahu said there was no immediate evidence that the attack had been aimed at Israelis.

It was the latest in a string of urban terrorist attacks that have underscored Turkey’s vulnerability as the country faces a revitalized Kurdish insurgency and a deeper involvement in Syria’s war and refugee crisis.

The blast took place near the district governor’s office on Istanbul’s central Istiklal Street, adjacent to shops, cafes and foreign consulates.

Tensions were already high in Turkey after two major suicide bombings in the capital, Ankara, in recent weeks.

Russia responds to NATO accusations of ‘inaccurate’ bombing

TASS_Rogozin_468

Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has responded to comments by General Philip Breedlove, the commander of NATO forces in Europe, after Breedlove said that Russian and Syrian forces were deliberately provoking the mass migration of Syrians.

Speaking at a press briefing on March 1, Breedlove had said the motive of such acts is to force the European authorities to deal with the crisis in their countries and to divert them from the “source of the problem.”

Breedlove also characterized the bombing by the Russian air force in Syria as “inaccurate.”

Rogozin responded to the statement on his Facebook page, reminding the alliance of several tragic incidents that have taken place in Afghanistan in recent years.

“Laying one’s own fault at someone else’s door – a specialist in bombing of Afghan weddings has accused us of ‘inaccurate bombing’,” he wrote on the social network.

U.S. Bombing of a Doctors Without Borders Hospital in Afghanistan Was No Accident – “It Was the Target”

Screen-Shot-2015-10-06-at-10.26.44-AM In particular, MSF (Doctors Without Borders) quickly publicized numerous facts that cast serious doubt on the original U.S. claim that the strike on the hospital was just an accident. To begin with, the organization had repeatedly advised the U.S. military of the exact GPS coordinates of the hospital. They did so most recently on September 29, just five days before the strike. Beyond that, MSF personnel at the facility “frantically” called U.S. military officials during the strike to advise them that the hospital was being hit and to plead with them to stop, but the strikes continued in a “sustained” manner for 30 more minutes.
