A pledge to boycott its stores, launched Wednesday by the American Family Association, received more than 690,000 signatures in almost a week.
“This means a man can simply say he ‘feels like a woman today’ and enter the women’s restroom… even if young girls or women are already in there,” a supporting statement on the website says. “Target’s policy is exactly how sexual predators get access to their victims.”
Why do some want to remove privacy in the privy? Why are we worried about national borders but opposed to legal boundaries on government intrusion into private property, privacy & community ideas of decency? Can a judge mandate co-ed bathrooms and showers for boys & girls? Can a state legislature dictate urinals (and men) be added to the ladies’ room?
You don’t have a country if you don’t have borders and legal boundaries. You won’t have a country worth having if you destroy the borders and boundaries that define privacy, private property, the difference between men & women, and the family.
The public is overwhelmingly defending Curt Schilling after ESPN fired the analyst for sharing a Facebook meme criticizing “gender neutral” restrooms.
The legislation is similar to what’s now law in North Carolina.
The Minnesota House bill states that “restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms and other similar places, which shall remain reserved for males or females as they are biologically defined.”
The actual language of the bill defines “a person’s sex is either male or female as biologically defined.” Transgender people said gender is only “assigned” at birth but can change over a person’s life.
