Parents sue feds for forcing school to let transgenders in girls locker room

Do the rights of boys who identify as girls trump the rights of girls who are born girls?

That question is at the heart of a lawsuit filed by dozens of Illinois parents after the Obama administration’s Department of Education strong-armed their school district into allowing a transgender student the right to use all girls’ locker rooms.

“The girls are mortified,” said Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Jeremy Tedesco, a religious liberty law firm representing some 50 families. “They are in a constant state of fear that their bodies are going to be exposed to a male in these settings. It’s a constant state of stress and anxiety for them.”

At least one of the plaintiffs, a female student at the high school, was harassed and bullied because she is uncomfortable changing in the same locker room with a biological boy.

“While she was in the changing stall, other girls who were in the locker room began calling her names, including ‘transphobic’ and ‘homophobic’,” the lawsuit states.

Minn. Lawmakers Discuss Controversial Bathroom Bill

glenn-gruenhagen

There was an emotional hearing at the State Capitol Tuesday on a bill to ban transgender people from using bathrooms that do not match their biological sex.

It is supported by parents who said they are worried about the safety of their children.

“Anyone can use any bathroom or locker room that they choose,” said Emily Zinos, a mother of five from St. Paul. “And that’s a situation ripe for abuse by those who have the intention of harming children.”

Dozens of people showed up wearing buttons that read, “No Boys In Girls Bathrooms,” or “No Hate In Our State.”

Transgender Minnesotans told their stories of daily discrimination.

“I’m a person just like every single one of you,” said Andrew Dodge, a high school student from Minneapolis. “And I want to live.”

Riah Roe, of Minneapolis, also defended her rights at the hearing.

MINN. LAWMAKERS TO DISCUSS CONTROVERSIAL BATHROOM BILL

The legislation is similar to what’s now law in North Carolina.

The Minnesota House bill states that “restrooms, locker rooms, dressing rooms and other similar places, which shall remain reserved for males or females as they are biologically defined.”

The actual language of the bill defines “a person’s sex is either male or female as biologically defined.” Transgender people said gender is only “assigned” at birth but can change over a person’s life.

According to brand new rules that were just issued by the New York City Commission on Human Rights, you could potentially be fined $250,000 if you purposely offend someone that is transgender. This includes such offenses as calling a transgender woman “him” when she wants to be called “her”, or not allowing a transgender woman to use the women’s bathroom. These guidelines are particularly focused on the behavior of landlords, employers and businesses, but they will undoubtedly create a chilling effect on speech all throughout New York City.

In NYC, Using Biological Pronouns for Transgenders is Now Illegal…

NYCTransPronoun-Link-1024x535

That makes sense. At lease, it makes as much sense as anything does in New York City. People are living on the streets, citizens are robbed of their basic Second Amendment rights, but at least transgenders they have legal recourse if someone calls them sir and they claim to be a ma’am.

While we’re talking about “rights,” riddle me this: what about the landlord’s rights? What about his right to conduct his business in a way he sees fit? What about his right to not have his assets and/or properties seized simply for slipping up on fictional “gender” issue? What about his right to protect little girls in the restroom from would-be predators as seen in the video below?

Remember at the beginning of 2015, when leftists said that the right’s “slippery slope” argument was merely fear-mongering? Yeah, about that…

New York Times Off-Trend With Transgender Blitz

During this historic period of escalating global socioeconomic strife and heightened geopolitical turmoil, the Trends Research Institute is disappointed and dumbfounded by The New York Times’ massive transgender coverage in last Sunday’s edition

The world’s on edge: Terror attacks in Paris. Slaughter in San Bernardino. Equity markets in turmoil. Commodity prices at 16-year lows. Currencies crashing. China’s economy slowing. Venezuela’s inflation at 200 percent. Brazil in deep recession. Emerging markets in peril. Syria, Yemen, Libya, Iraq, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon… the Middle East is on fire and ready to explode.
