Michael Morell said during a Monday morning CBS interview that Donald Trump is “going to have to learn” that the CIA gets most things right.

He believes that this is a political judgment,” Morell, who served as acting director of the CIA in 2011 and again from 2012-2013, stated. “He believes that the CIA is a political institution and he is going to have to learn that it’s not.”

Trump’s Brutally Honest Castro Statement Proves He’s No Obama

Cuba

President-elect Donald Trump called now deceased former Cuban president Fidel Castro a “brutal dictator” whose legacy represents decades of death and oppression.

That’s a stark contrast from President Barack Obama’s statement on the passing of the long-time Cuban overlord.

“Today, the world marks the passing of a brutal dictator who oppressed his own people for nearly six decades,” Trump said in a statement released on the news of Castro’s death Saturday.

“Fidel Castro’s legacy is one of firing squads, theft, unimaginable suffering, poverty and the denial of fundamental human rights,” Trump said.

A staff writer for left-wing website Mic.com uncritically accepted a prankster’s account of a fictitious racially-charged interaction with a Trump supporter, later spreading the false story on Twitter while dismissing those skeptical of the story’s veracity.

The story begins with a tweet from Mic staff writer Sarah Harvard, requesting stories of Trump-inspired attacks on non-whites, Muslims or LGBTQ people. “If you’re a person of color, Muslim, and/or LGBTQ, and have been attacked by a Trump supporter. DM/email me,” she wrote, providing her email for people to contact her. Harvard promised a “Safe space” for any alleged victims.

Trump Did BETTER Than Romney Among Hispanics, And Blacks

Despite widespread predictions that a wave of Hispanics would defeat him, exit poll data indicates that president-elect Donald Trump did better with Hispanics than Mitt Romney did in 2012.

According to exit poll data collected by CNN, Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton defeated Trump among Hispanics at 65 percent to 29 percent. While that’s a big margin, it’s smaller than the one Barack Obama won by in 2012. He defeated Mitt Romney among Hispanics 71 percent to 27 percent.

Tricky Ted And The American Worker

Despite the old guard and amateur pundits blaming Donald Trump and the majority of GOP voters who support him, much of the rift in the Republican Party has been caused by Texas Senator Ted Cruz conning nationalists into believing he is one of them. Republican voters, many of whom have supported the GOP for decades and been repeatedly taken for granted by the establishment, deserve better. They need to know that Cruz is an establishment globalist who has already sold the American worker down the river by voting for the Trans-Pacific Partnership.

Hillary Clinton Is Going To Raise Taxes By A LOT

Hillary Clinton Is Going To Raise Taxes By A LOT

The former secretary of state proposed a slew of new hikes – including a 28 percent cap on itemized deductions to raise $350 billion for college subsides. Through “business tax reform,” she said she plans to bring in $275 billion for infrastructure purposes and plans to raise somewhere between $400 and $500 billion in revenue by eliminating certain deductions, raising the estate tax, capital gains tax and implementing the “Buffett Rule,” meaning anyone making over $1 million a year will face at least a 30 percent tax rate.

Read clips from the transcript below:

Clinton: I have connected up my proposals for the kind of investments I want to make with the taxes that I think have to be raised. So on individual pieces of my agenda, I try to demonstrate clearly that I have a way for paying for paid family leave, for example, for debt-free tuition. So I would spend about $100 billion a year. And I think it’s affordable, and I think it’s a smart way to make investments, to go back to our economic discussion, that will contribute to growing the economy.

Now I’m well aware that this is a heavy lift. I understand that. But I think connecting what I’m asking for to the programs, to the outcomes and results that I’m calling for give me a stronger hand, and that’s how I’m going to go at it.

Senators Quietly Stick Green Energy Subsidies Into FAA Bill

Senators from both sides of the aisle are trying to get an amendment into a bill reauthorizing the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) that would extend $1.4 billion in expiring green energy subsidies that weren’t included in last year’s budget deal.

We’re disappointed that consistent support exists among Senators to extend corporate welfare to the so-called ‘green energy’ industry. It’s unfortunate to see lawmakers sneak these provisions through the backdoor using unrelated must-pass measures — especially only months after extending major wind and solar subsidies in an end-of-year deal,” Christine Harbin, director of federal affairs at Americans for Prosperity, said in a statement.
